Lebensinhalt shows the hidden life found in a Viennese cemetery, where wildlife roams freely amongst the graves. The beautiful juxtaposition of life and death. Lebensinhalt is German for 'purpose in life'. Many of the graves share the career or life’s work of the departed.
I began creating this project as a personal escape; an opportunity to reflect and absorb the hidden beauty of the cemetery. I have no intentions for this project, it is a way for me to connect with the nature that surrounds me and learn. I hope through this project, people will see the fascinating and complex beauty of the cemetery.
